The earliest odds for a Giants Super Bowl held in MetLife Stadium was 20-1 as listed in February of 2013. These are better odds than the other tenant of the stadium, the New York Jets, who are listed at 50-1. The odds are also the best of any NFC East team, which seems to give the Giants the edge in winning their division. Hall of Fame quarterback Fran Tarkenton held most of the game’s passing records when he retired in 1978. Known as “Frantic Fran”, he defined the modern mobile signal caller. Tarkenton played five seasons with the Giants before moving on to the Minnesota Vikings in 1972.

The New York Giants enter into the 2013 draft needing help at the linebacker position. They need a player that can come in and contribute from day one. Some mock drafts have the Giants seclecting Manti Te’o with their first round pick, but the obvious character issues that come with him may make them pass and go for someone more stable like Dion Jordan of Oregon or Kevin Minter of LSU.

Almost every fan of the NFL was shocked by the New York Jets’ decision to bring back head coach Rex Ryan for the 2013-14 season. The Jets had an abysmal season last year and were only able to finish with six wins. The Jets have under performed each of the last two seasons and many people attribute the failure to poor decisions may by Ryan.

The New York Jets recently traded Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for several draft picks in the upcoming NFL draft. Revis is arguably the best cornerback in the NFL, so it is going to be tough for the Jets to fill his shoes.

Many Jets fans were wondering all season why the team acquired Tim Tebow if they had no plans to use him. The big question for the upcoming NFL season is if Tim Tebow is ever going to get utilized by the New York Jets and if he has a future with the team.
